Polyframe uses different rules for Blocks and Terms. There is no manual match mode switch.
Block - whole segment
A Block matches only when the full Source text equals the entry source. Before comparison, Polyframe:
- ignores letter case;
- changes tabs, line breaks and non-breaking spaces into normal spaces;
- removes extra spaces at the start, end and inside the text.
So Install the unit can match INSTALL THE UNIT, but the unit does not match a longer segment.
Term - phrase inside a segment
A Term matches when its Source phrase appears inside the segment. Polyframe then checks whether Target contains the required equivalent. A Term never changes Target automatically.
If several Blocks have the same source, Polyframe prefers the most used entry, then the most recently updated one.
Matching uses active entries only and requires a matching memory target language.
